About the Department

The Corriganville Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1939 in the old Corriganville School House. It started with just one single fire truck. Over the years the company has evolved into what it is today. Our mission is to maintain a safe environment for our community, for the purpose of learning the many aspects of the fire and emergency service, as well as provide opportunities for positive social interaction. We want to encourage everyone to show their full potential by focusing on team-work, leadership, character and community. To provide an active and gratifying program for our members and their families. To show that you are joining another family or brotherhood. The purpose of which shall be to protect life and property against fire and to be prepared for other emergencies that may arise.

Why Corriganville Volunteer Fire Department?

We have a desire to serve others in their time of need through Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services. It takes a pretty big family to be able to do that. We have opportunities in emergency response, auxiliary support, and administrative roles.
