About the Department

Our mission is to serve the citizens of Charles County by providing properly trained and equipped divers to assist in
underwater emergencies. We specialize in utilizing underwater sonar technology to locate objects in areas of reduced visibility. In addition to underwater rescue, we also provide ice rescue, surface water rescue and swiftwater rescue.

Why Charles County Dive Rescue Team?

Charles County Dive Rescue is solely focused on water rescue services. Our services are focused on emergencies in, on and under the water. This team has been specially requested to assist in searches along the east coast. Assistance has been provided to locations throughout Maryland, and in Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York. Interested members are not required to certified divers. The team is comprised of several positions to include diver, tender, boat operator and surface water technician.
