About the Department

We are a small rural beach community providing Fire, Rescue, EMS and a Marine Division, to the citizens of Kent County Maryland. We were organized on March 8, 1938 by our founder Mr. Norris L Arment. We house 2 Engines, 1 Tanker, 1 Rescue, 1 Ambulance, 1 Special Unit, 1 Brush Piece and 1 Boat. Our members include approximately 30 active and 37 life-members varying in age from 14 to 91.
