The Cobb Island Volunteer Fire Department and EMS was established in 1946 providing fire suppression and emergency medical services. The department has grown over the years to provide these services as well as marine fire suppression. We currently are equipped with the following:
– Engine
– Rescue Engine
– Pumper Tanker
– 2 Brush Trucks
– 2 Ambulances
– Marine Support Unit
– Fire/Rescue Boat
– Swift Water Team/Boat
Why Cobb Island Volunteer Fire Department & EMS, Inc.?
Our department is a small community based Fire and EMS Department. A Department that has a family like atmosphere. We currently are revamping our in house cadet program to help guide our new cadet and junior members towards the right path for their future in the Fire and EMS service. We have an Auxiliary that supports our members and department.
